SUGGESTIONS FOR THE PRESENTATIONS
These are some tips for you to consider in your presentations.
- Create readable slides with dark letter and
- Design your PowerPoint presentation on white background and dark print.
- Do not write paragraphs. Keep in mind write sentences or keywords.
- Put dark text on a light background.
- Centered text is harder to read and looks amateurish. Line up all your text to a right-hand or left-hand baseline – it will look better and be easier to follow.
- Use images sparingly to avoid distraction of audience.
- Have a visual theme, but avoid using PowerPoint templates
- Practice before the event. Rehearsal will give you more confidence.
- The title of the presentation should clearly reflect its content, without a colon or quotation marks
- During the presentation, minimize reading as much as possible. Talk to the audience and try to involve them in the presentation.
